Tropitone has its roots in contract design, originally manufacturing and selling direct to high end hotels, country clubs and resorts. The original owner of Seashore Ace, Spike Fisher, was introduced to Tropitone furniture while vacationing in Florida, and contacted the company to express how his customers desired to put this quality furniture on their residential properties as well. As such, Seashore Ace became the longest-running retailer of Tropitone furniture in the US.

Tropitone’s roots mean that they design for high usage and traffic, with durability of the utmost importance. They use more cast aluminum for added strength, weight, and stability.
