Sling and fabric care:
Wash with a solution of soap or mild detergent and warm water. Sponge thoroughly with water and allow to air dry. For more stubborn stains, mix three gallons of warm water with one cup of household bleach and one cup of mild laundry detergent.
Note: Do NOT use solvent-type materials, they will damage the yarns.
Aluminum Frames and Table tops:
Periodic cleaning of our frames is recommended. Simply wash with mild soap and rinse thoroughly. Please do not use abrasive materials or strong detergents.
Note: Do NOT use waxes on the textured frame finishes.
Wicker:
Wicker should be kept clean with a mild detergent and warm water. Damaged finish on Lloyd Loom painted frames can be lightly sanded and re-painted with factory matched touch up paint.
Teak:
Teak does not require any special maintenance routine apart from occasional cleaning. If left to age naturally outside by being exposed to light, air and rain, then the surface of the teak will gradually change to a soft, silver-grey as the pigments in the surface layer of the wood start to fade away. We recommend that you simply allow your furniture to weather naturally this way and maintain the silver patina with regular cleaning using Gloster Teak Cleaner. If you want to get extra protection against stains, use Gloster Teak Protector and to maintain the golden brown of new teak, apply Gloster Teak Sealer to your furniture from new.
Teak:
For Teak, we advise that you do so in a garden shed or garage. However, if you must store inside your house do not move teak furniture from the deck or patio straight into a heated indoor room for storage, as the sharp differences in temperature and humidity may cause the wood to split.
Aluminum Frames
All aluminum furniture should be stored in an upright position to allow for proper water drainage. Factory drilled holes in the bottom of furniture frames serve as a drainage system. If the furniture is placed upside down, it will not allow water to drain. This can cause freeze damage, which is not covered by warranty.
Wicker:
Wicker should only be covered with a breathable cover to help prevent mildew. Store indoor when ever possible.
